Obituary

Ms. Kathleen Williamson Lawson passed on January 18, 2019.  Funeral services will held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc. at 1:00 p.m. with family visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Kathleen was born on December 8, 1937 to the late Bessie Hatchett Williamson and Robert Williamson in Reidsville, North Carolina and she went to her eternal rest on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Beverly Rucker Family Care home with her loving family and caring staff surrounding her.

She attended schools in the Rockingham County School System and after graduation, began work at Chase Bag Company.  She worked there for many years as a sewing machine operator.  Kathleen's hobbies including sewing, knitting, and crocheting.  She attended Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc. where she often heard some of her favorite songs – "Every Praise", "How I Made It Over", and "He's Able".

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers – Bobby Williamson and Lawrence Williamson; sisters – Gracie Graves and Mollie Bell Turner; and granddaughter – Terronda M. Rucker.

Loved ones left to share precious memories include:  her daughters – Beverly Rucker (George) and Vickie Lawson (Clint), all of Reidsville, NC; step-son – Leon Lawson, Jr., of Reidsville, NC; sister – Afrances Williams, of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren – Anthony Rucker, and Shawn Lawson, all of Reidsville, NC, and Shannon Staley (Anthony), of Eden, NC; great-grandchildren – Aronderly Rucker, Cierra Doggett, and Aeriana Lawson, all of Reidsville, NC, and Mario Moore, Jr., of Eden, NC; sisters-in-law – Rosetta Williamson, Hattie Jefferies, Inez Lawson, and Martha Jane Williamson, all of Reidsville, NC; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
