Mr. Karranzia Adams passed on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Greensboro, North Carolina. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, North Carolina.
Karranzia Adams was born on February 16, 1960 in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Mattie Virginia Mimms Adams and William Adams, Jr. He departed this life on Monday, September 12, 2022 at his residence in Greensboro, North Carolina.
He was reared in First Baptist Church in Reidsville, North Carolina under the pastorship of Rev. Dr. A.D. Logan and was educated in the public schools of Reidsville City School System. Karranzia graduated from Reidsville Senior High School in the Class of 1978 where he excelled in both football and basketball. Witnesses to his astounding basketball skills on the court called him the "Amazing, Amazing, Amazing Dick"! On the court, he was a fierce competitor. Off the court, he was kindhearted and would give you the shirt off of his back.
Karranzia was skilled in many occupations including brick masonry. His employment placements were Zarn, Inc. and Carolina Heat Treatment Company, both in Reidsville, NC and lastly, at Malachi House II in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rita Ceresta Broadnax; and brother – William Henry Mims.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: brother, Armenous Adams (Shelia) of Reidsville, NC; nieces, Kenya Johnson (Thomas), Starr Massey (Justin) and Diane Stitt (Elihue), all of Reidsville, NC; great nieces, Imani Johnson, Amber Johnson and Penelope Stitt, all of Reidsville, NC; great-nephew, Adam Massey of Reidsville, NC; and a host of other relatives, friends, and special friends from Malachi House II in Greensboro, NC.
Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the staff of the McLaurin Funeral Home are serving the family. C ovid-19 precautions will be followed with social distancing, masks and sanitizing required.
