Jorden Turner was born in Caswell County, North Carolina on May 9, 1937. He was the son of the late Mr. Eddie Turner and Mrs. Annie Mae Graves Turner.
Funeral services are Monday September 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery .
Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00 mp.m. until 7:00 p.m.
He attended Caswell county schools, and was employed by John Smith and Sons Construction, Spray Cotton Mills, and Field Crest Cannon. He later retired from farming in 2000.
Jorden was well known throughout the community. He made many friends that were dear to him. He enjoyed meeting with friends and relatives, and having a good time. He passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2016 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
We shall miss him, but we shall find comfort in god's loving mercy.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Mr. Eddie Turner, Mrs. Annie Mae Turner, his loving wife Mrs. Patcie James Turner. Brothers: Mr. Eddie (June) Turner, Mr. Abraham Turner. Sisters: Mrs. Margaretta Turner Watlington, and Mrs. Frances Turner Hairston.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Daughters: Ophelia Turner of Eden, NC, Annie Mae Turner of Eden, NC, Patricia Turner of Brown Summit, NC, and Jordan D. Turner of Gibsonville, NC. Brothers: Wilson Turner of Ruffin, NC, David Turner of Milton, NC, William Turner of Eden, NC. Sisters: Ophelia Corbett of Clayton, NC, Autrice Hampton of Clayton, NC. Uncles: Cecil Graves of Reidsville, NC, John-Erving Graves of Reidsville, NC, six grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
