John W. McCain Sr. passed on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Greenview Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 12:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

John affectionately known as "Johnny Boy" was born November 18, 1931 to the late Charlie and Janie McCain. He lived in Reidsville all of his life. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1950. John worked for the American Tobacco Company for 35 years. John was a former member of First Christian Church where he served on the Senior Choir. He later joined Jerusalem United Holiness Church where he served faithfully until his health declined.

John was preceded in death by his former wife, Ruby Lee McCain, his parents and a brother, James E. McCain, Sr.  He is survived by his wife, Billie J. McCain, two sons, John McCain, Jr. and Stanfred E. McCain, one daughter, Barnetta McCain, one step daughter, Sula Slade, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
