Jeffrey Hairston, Sr.

EDEN, NC - Mr. Jeffrey Hairston, Sr., age 52, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

 A viewing will begin on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. 

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the service at 3 p.m. Reverend James Price will serve as eulogist.

 The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC. 

 All other times the family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Mr. Silver Hairston, Jr., 512 Coleman Street, Reidsville, NC. 

Jeffrey or "Jeff" as he was affectionately called was born on June 11, 1974 in Rockingham County to the late Silver and Frances Turner Hairston.

He was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Rockingham County Senior High School and attended Rockingham Community College.

For approximately 10 years, he was employed by Fieldcrest Mills in Eden, NC. He later worked in landscaping.

At an early age, he attended church with his family at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.

Jeffrey loved wrestling and football. He was diehard Carolina Panthers fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Malissa Hairston.

Survivors include fiance', Tammy Blackwell; children, Jeffrey Hairston, Jr., Jala Hairston, Jasmine Hairston, Gabby Pinnix and Kendrell Pinnix; 2 grandchildren, Kendrell Pinnix Jr., and Jayna Pinnix; siblings, Silver Hairston, Jr., Annie Walker and Ricky Hairston (Kimberley); uncle, William Turner (Sharon); a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, cousins and friends.
