REIDSVILLE - Mr. Javen Quentin-Lee Bennett, age 18, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Eden, NC.
Public viewing will begin on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1 p.m. from the Locust Grove Baptist Church, 4707 NC Hwy 150, Browns Summit, NC. The family visitation and viewing will take place at 11:30 a.m. Pastor James E. Lea, eulogist.
The committal and interment will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Browns Summit, NC.
All other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Robertson, 120 Frank Road, Reidsville, NC.
He was educated in the local public schools where he graduated from Reidsville High School, class of 2025. Currently he was a student at Rockingham Community College majoring in IT and was employed by Food Lion in Eden, NC.
He was a dedicated member of Locust Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Youth Missionary, Usher and Technology Committee.
Survivors include loving grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Robertson; mother, Robin Morgan; father, Jamal Derr; uncles, Quincy Robertson and Spencer Morgan; great-uncles, Melvin Neal, Leon Neal (Darlene), Dennis Neal; great-aunts, Vanessa Jones (Robert), Marilyn Neal, Kay Neal and Patricia Neal; god-mother, Angie Falls and Judy Cheek; a host of relatives and friends.
