Reidsville- Ms. Jarness Renee Fields affectionately called "Sapphire" was born to the late Shirley Ann Fields on February 22, 1964 in Reidsville, North Carolina. Jarness transitioned from this early life to go from labor to reward on Friday, September 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Hubbard St., Reidsville, NC with a visitation 1:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. There will be a wake from 7:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening at McLaurin Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with public viewing beginning at 11:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. Burial will take place in Greenview Cemetery.

In addition to her mother, Jarness was preceded in death by her son, Maurice J. Fields.

"Sapphire" leaves to cherish her loving and fond memories: her son, Earl "Lamont" (Sandi) Fields of the home; her daughters, Ciara Haith of Greensboro, NC and Davina Neal of Durham, NC; three grandchildren, Dekeyvian "Rudy" Haith, Brianna Chavis and Zoa Kaiden Fields; brother, James Earl Johnson; best friend/papa, Melvin "Buddy" Martin; special nieces and nephews, Jasmine Johnson, Lamont Neal, Letitia Robertson and Byron Austin; other children, Gerald Harris, LaTosha (Mario) Brown, Shekita Johnson, Pezazia Slade, Lindsey Hayes, Daniel Thornton, Anthony "TJ" Pass, Tonya Taylor and Connie "Dee" Blue; Goddaughter, Tiffany Thomas; uncle, James "Red" Wheeler; great aunt, Gladys Fields; sister friends, Teresa Dodd, Sabrina Thomas, Renee Slade, Faye Bell and Patricia Terry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive family and friends at 490 Mashie Drive, Summerfield, NC.
