GIBSONVILLE - Mr. James Carl Jordan affectionately called "Jackie", age 84, formerly of Browns Summit, NC departed this life on Friday afternoon, June 28, 2024 at Beacon Place.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Pastor Kenneth Moore will deliver the words of comfort.

He was a native of Guilford County, North Carolina and a resident of Sincere Manor in Rockingham County for 9 years.

"Jackie," as he was affectionately called, was educated in the Guilford County school system and attended Brown Summit Elementary and High School.

As an adult he was employed as a farmer for many years. Spiritually, he was a former member of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on September 8, 2019.

During his leisure time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching westerns on TV, going on long peaceful walks, riding and listening to the radio and spending time with family and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nora Jordan, sisters, Inez Wilson and Rosa Foust, and brothers John Jordan and Leroy Jordan.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Jordan, nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
