Ms. Hope Yvette Valdes passed on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 East Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC with family visitation one half hour prior to the service.

H ope Yvette Valdes was born on March 6, 1982 in New York, New York to Reverend Paul Anthony Valdes Sr. and June Swanston~Valdes.

She was baptized at Saint John's Episcopal Church in New City, New York and confirmed on January 14, 1996 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.  Hope was a member of the Episcopal Youth Community.  She was educated in the Guilford County School System.

Hope's absolute joy was spending time with her brother, Robert, playing video games, and solving word puzzles.

Hope is the mother of Trevor Emmanuel, Gabriel Anthony, and Avelina Lucille Lott; the sister of Robert E. Moore and Dana Valdes Brooks (Zackary A. Brooks); and Aunt to Z. Jalen, Trinity Lynn and Aria N. Brooks.  She has a host of relatives who will recognize her absence.

Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the staff of the McLaurin Funeral Home are serving the family. C ovid-19 precautions will be followed with social distancing, masks and sanitizing required.
