Gregory, son of Mary Robertson Hamlin and John B. Troxler was born on February 15, 1951 in Rockingham County, NC. Greg was a lifetime resident of Reidsville, NC.

"Greg" as he preferred to be called, was a very personable and friendly guy. He enjoyed family and friends and his Jerusalem UHC family. He always spoke of Bishop Jackson and Bishop Williams and his fondness for them. Greg loved the Lord and his church.

Greg had a nice baritone voice and sang with the gospel choir, men's praise team and the Bethel Male Chorus. He was also a member of the church homecoming committee. He was a blood donor at the American Red Cross and an avid supporter of Prostate Cancer research. His greatest accomplishment was taking that walk in Washington, DC. Greg also had a love for his classmates and Booker T. Washington High School. He would say 1969 was our year! His two precious dogs, Mimi and Prissy were also very special and much loved by Greg. As many of you know, Greg was an avid baker. He loved to bake cakes and pies for everyone. He would bring joy to the taste buds and if it wasn't right…he would re-bake it. Greg's greatest love of all was his son, Brandon Daleshawn Johnson and those two grandchildren. They were his pride and joy!

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gary Robertson and Derrick Weeks, and one sister, Geraldine Coleman.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory: son, Brandon Daleshawn Johnson (Felicia); brothers, Norman Milton (June) and Keith Burton (Billie Joe); sisters, Ann Joyner (Gene), Vickie Williamson, Tracey T. Dalton, Johnette Murphy (Henry) and Tammy Simpson (Zachary); two grandchildren, Kadence Johnson and Brandon D. Johnson, Jr.; aunts, Sylvia Wood and Virginia Robertson; uncles, George and Larry Robertson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A very special thank you to Pamela Redd, Pearl J. Foddrell and Jennifer Watlington for their assistance and love shared during his time of incapacitation.
