Mrs. Gloria Jean Martin Lipscombe peacefully transitioned from her earthly home on November 17, 2021 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Born in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Imojean Martin and Thomas Lipscomb, she was educated in the Rockingham County public schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by:  her daughter, Lawanda V. Roach; granddaughter, Marquita A. Simmons; great-granddaughter, Ayniya Jayden Graves; and two sisters, Alma Lee Martin and Patricia Ann Martin Gordon.

Survivors include:  husband, Richard Lipscombe; daughter, Mortricia Renee Marshall (Michael); two sons, Rodney N. Martin and William A. Roach, II; two sisters, Gertrude Frison and Lauretta Robinson (Alphonza); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special cousin, Jacqueline Martin; three nieces; two nephews; other relatives and friends.
