REIDSVILLE, NC - Mr. George Moore, age 93, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Cypress Valley Center Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. Mr. Larry Settle, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

Mr. George Moore, son of the late Lillie Bell Whitsett Moore and Arch Moore was born on October 15, 1932.

He formerly attended Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Ruffin, NC.

For the majority of his life he was a farmer raising tobacco and was excellent with gardening. For many years he worked for Butlers Dairy.

Mr. George loved people and you could always find him working in the community.

In his spare time, he loved fishing and hunting. He also raised hunting dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine P. Moore; sisters, Bertha May Hampton, Mae Peoples; brothers, June Moore, Bill Moore, Lindsey Moore, John Henry Moore (Pan); and son, George Wilson.

Those left to cherish his memory; JoAnne Moore (Jody), Louise M. Hart (Zet), Loretta Roberts (Gruby), William L. Roberts (Shorty); Catherine Moore (Cat), Gloria M. Jones (Dilly), Richard Jones; children Betty Galloway (Otis), Willie Wilson (Henry), Robin Wilson Turner, Charles Thaxton, Wanda Poole (Nookie), Judy Poole and Maxine Carter(Clarence).
