Mr. Franklin Stokes, son of the late Lindsay and Mary W.S. Stokes was born August 17, 1945. He departed this life on December 22, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 28, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Hubbard St., Reidsville, NC, with a visitation 12:30-1:00P.M. prior to the service and burial following in the Greenview Cemetery.

Franklin graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1963. After graduation he joined the United States Army to defend our country during the Vietnam War.

Franklin joined and gave his life to Christ at the First Baptist Church, where his late wife, Mrs. Hunter Marie Stokes was a long time member. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.
Along with his parents, also preceding him in death, brothers; Fred Lee Stokes (living Estelle), Melvin Stokes (living Manley), sister; Mildred Wilson (Alfonzo), niece; Monica, and nephew; Clarence.

He leaves to cherish memories of his life, in the hearts of two daughters; Lisa Cuff (Timothy), Concord, NC, Tami L. Kittrell (Andrew), Greensboro, NC, sisters; Clarie Perry (Aubrey), Tallahassee, FL, Beatrice Savage (late Carl), Temple Hill, MD, grandchildren; Enasha, Alex, Ebonie, Raheem, Jada and Janiah, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The Stokes family is grateful, and appreciate your empathy at our darkest hour.
