Obituary

Flora Dennis Morrow screamed into this world on June 10, 1935 to parents John and Julia Dennis in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was born on a beautiful spring morning and given a name that represented what she loved so much, flowers.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Greenview Cemetery.
Public viewing Monday from 1:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at McLaurin Funeral Home.

Flora spent most of her life in Greensboro with her seven siblings: Abe, Boody, Mary, Junior, Minnie, Hattie and her baby brother Pee-Wee. She was married at a young age to Bill Lee Morrow and raised a slew of kids. In 1966, they adopted a daughter, Kimberly Angel Morrow and life changed.

Throughout her life, she did many things. She was a strong, out-spoken, hard working woman who loved her family and cut no corners. One of her greatest achievements was recording a record with her husband in 1972 titled "If I'm Too High Lord." She was the best cook on this side of Heaven.

In 1989, the family moved to Reidsville, North Carolina. In early spring 2000, Bill departed this life and left Flora with what she needed to carry on without him. She witnessed the transitions of each of her siblings until in 2006, she was the last of the Dennis clan on this side of life. She spent the remainder of her life helping raise her two grandchildren Donee' and Solae while she battled and won many fights against illness.

On March 14, 2017, Flora and her Lord decided it was time to go home. In a state of eternal peace and satisfaction, she released this life to transcend to a higher one. She leaves her daughter Kim Morrow Stephens, her grandchildren Donee' J. Bolden and Solae R. Stephens, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to celebrate her successful passing; knowing she has now reunited with her loved ones in the light.

We love you, for you are the Last of the Legends and forever you will remain to us, simply "Flo".
