CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Ella A. Thompson Keesee, age 64, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at The Ivy at Gastonia in Gastonia, NC.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1 p.m. from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 N. Scales Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m. Elder Kim Moyer will preside and Overseer Florine Ortega, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

All other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Ethel Juarez - 540 Maple Avenue, Reidsville, NC.

Ella was affectionately called "Stella" was born in Reidsville, NC on May 15, 1960 to Lee Emmanuel Canty and Elsie Carr Canty.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Canty; father, Lee Emmanuel Canty; siblings, Norman Carr, David Thompson, Paula Carr and James Canty.

Survivors include daughters, LaTosha Thompson, Jackie Keesee-Nicholson (Timothy) and Christine Keesee; grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Dominiquica Reynolds (Carlos), Jasmine Keesee, Reginald Morrow and Timothy Nicholson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Jr., and Chosyn Moore; siblings, Frances Lee, Martha Simmons, James Watson, Ethel Juarez (Andres), Ella Ray Thompson, Linda Leake (John) and George Thompson; a host of relatives and friends.
