Mr. Edward Gordon Totten passed on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Funeral services will be 12:30 Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at McLaurin Memorial Chapel with a visitation 12:00-12:30 P.M. prior to the service.

Mr. Edward Gordon Totten was born June 21, 1942 to the late Gordon Totten and Hulene Blackwell-Totten.  He was raised in the Reidsville community before serving in the United States Army being discharged in 1961.  Upon discharge, he became a resident of Willow Springs, NC and an employee with the City of Durham until retirement. He would return to residency in Reidsville, NC until he departed this life on September 6, 2019.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by: wife - Dorothy Totten; brothers - Marvin Totten and Greg Totten; sister - Earlene Totten; and nephews - Kaden Ramsey and Shaun Totten.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son - Timothy McCoy, of Durham, NC; mother – Hulene Totten of Reidsville, NC;  brothers - Ernest Totten, William Totten (Nettie), Jerry Totten,  Tony Totten and Johnny Totten (Wanda), all of Reidsville, NC and George Totten of Sacramento, CA; sisters - Elder Catherine Wilson, Linda Johnson (Robert), all of Reidsville, NC and Patricia Fitzgerald of Newport News, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to L.H. McLaurin Good Neighbor Association  - in memory of Edward Totten.
