Ms. Edna Earl Slade, age 75, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The viewing will begin at 1 p.m. with the family arriving at 1:30 p.m. Elder Clarence Robertson will deliver the words of comfort.

The committal service and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

Edna was born in Reidsville, NC on September 7, 1948 to the late Floyd and Myrtle Slade. Her brother Clay Slade, and sister Dorothy Robertson preceded her in death.

Edna was the youngest of five children and attended Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1966.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her daughters, Wendy Neal Major and Rhonda Neal-Burrowes (Horacio); grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher Major, Ebony, Raven, TJ, Ashley Burrowes; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Naliyah, King Burrowes, Artis Langlois, London And Laloni Garcia and Ryan Jr and Stratton Major; a host of relatives and friends.
