Eddie Langston (Cricket) Badgett was born on August 21, 1946 in Caswell County, NC. He was the son of the late Eddie L. Badgett Jr. and the late Gladys T. England. Eddie departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Hospice Of Rockingham County.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 29, 2013, 2:00 P.M. at New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, Ruffin, N.C. with a visitation 1:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Bishop Felicia Kellam will bring the eulogy and burial will follow in the New Ephesus Church Cemetery.

Eddie attended Caswell County Public Schools. He retired from Dan River Mills in Danville, VA after 31 years of service. "Cricket" as he was affectionately known by all, was a quiet, caring and fun loving person that loved to eat and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter; Jessemecia Turner, Ruffin, NC, three brothers; George England Jr., Winston Salem, NC, Joe England, Yanceyville, NC, and Mitchell England, Burlington, NC, five sisters; Marion Evans, Yanceyville, NC, Colene Holloway (Marvin), Pelham, NC, Shirdean Inge (Condrie), Providence, NC, Angel Allen (Kenneth), Reidsville, NC, Naiokia Jackson (Chris), Reidsville, NC, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Also a long time friend, Louise Turner.
