It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dotsy Watlington Cobb, who peacefully departed this life on April 4, 2026, at the Ancora Compassionate Hospice Care - Gibson House. The daughter of the late Harry and Blanche Turner Watlington, Dotsy was a woman of profound faith and a sweet, humble spirit.

Dotsy's devotion to the Lord was evident through her many years of faithful service at Rocky Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a Deaconess, past President and Secretary of the Ushers Ministry and was a dedicated member of the Missionary Ministry. Additionally, she served as the Secretary of the former Cedar Grove Ushers Association #1 for many years. Even as her health declined, her compassion and support for her church remained steadfast.

Beyond her service, Dotsy was well known for her legendary pound cakes and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Harry R. Watlington, Jr., May Denny Watlington, and Willie Arthur Watlington.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Clarence Bernard Cobb; her niece, D'etta Brown; her nephews, Tony Brown (Cherise), Rodney Brown, and Damon Kromah Watlington (Tiffany); and her great-niece, Rhyan, who was the apple of her eye. She is also fondly remembered by a host of dear cousins, other nieces and nephews, and many special friends, including Sylvia Key, Elnora and Nicky Neal, and Darlene Clark.

To know Dotsy was to love her. While her passing is a great loss to us on Earth, it is truly Heaven's gain. We salute you, our dear friend.
