REIDSVILLE, NC - Mr. Donnell Graves, age 72, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at his residence.
A viewing will begin on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2026 from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m. Pastor Bell Noble, eulogist.
The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
All other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Elder Melissa Galloway (William Larry) - 1099 US-29 Business, Reidsville)
Donnell Graves, the son of the late James Edward Graves, and Lola Mae Cunningham Graves. Donnell was born November 10, 1953 in Reidsville, NC.
He was educated in the local public schools and attended Booker T. Washington High in Reidsville, NC and later retired from Cone Mills in Reidsville.
In his early years, he loved playing the guitar and harmonica. Donnell also used to loved taking road trips and playing Bingo. In his spare-time, he loved to sit in the house and watch westerns. His favorite show was "Touched by an Angel".
At an early age, Donnell accepted Christ as her personal savior.
Preceeded in death: his parents, James Edward Graves and Lola Mae Cunningham Graves; siblings, Maddie Loren Graves, Henry Graves, Erva Lee Pass (George), Addie Mae Graves, Melvin Lee Graves, Deborah Ann Broadnax and Carolyn Graves.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories are sons, Kevin Casey and Donnell Jr. (Boogie) Casey; siblings, Roberta Graves Nunley of Reidsville, Samuel D. Graves of Winston-Salem, Elder Melissa Graves Galloway (Larry) of Reidsville and Jeffery Leroy Graves of Winston-Salem; step-brother, Dale Simpson; grandchildren, Xaiver Artis, Zamiyah, Zamari, Nehemiah, Uri'Jah, Zaz'Zaryah, Aniya Casey, Lavonna Blackstock, Kennon Casey, Kevon Casey , Teja, Kameren, Kamyra, KaeLynn, Dominic, Nigel and Darius; a hos of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his precious friends, Kimberly McNabb, Pearly Mae, Bump and Little Man.
His legacy of life will continue through his family and extended family and friends.
