REIDSVILLE - Mr. Dewey Leon Lane, III age 58, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will begin on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 2 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 1:30 p.m. Elder Beverly Kinsey, eulogist.

The family will receive friends at the home of his aunt, Betty Howard, 157 Ridge Street, Reidsville, NC.

Dewey was born in Reidsville, NC on February 8, 1967 to Dewey Lee Arnold Lane and Mary Howard Grant.

He was educated in the public schools and attended Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, FL.

For many years, he used his talents and was a gifted handyman.

Survivors include sister, Yolanda Lane-Crocker (Freddie); aunts, Betty Howard and Margie Lane; nieces, Mariesha Crocker and Marlana Crocker; nephews, Fredrick Lane, Mario Crocker, Freddie Crocker Jr., and Marley Crocker; a special friend, Carolyn Moore; a host of relatives and friends.
