Dennis Michael Lea, age 66, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 9818 US-158, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Samuel Moore, Jr., presiding and Dr. Neleeta Alexander, eulogist.

The committal and interment with military honors by the US Army Honor Guard will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Reidsville, NC.

He was born in Rockingham County on October 25, 1958.

Educated in the public schools, he graduated from Bethany High School.

He served his country faithfully and was honorably discharged from the United States Army.

For many years he was employed with the NC Department of Transportation, and later as a machine operator with Thomas Stanley and Ashe Farms. After retirement, he worked with Halls Floor Covering.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Lea; stepfather, Paul C. Graves.

Survivors include sons, Dennis Jumper and Brennan Lea; daughters, LaKenan Jumper and Whitney Lea; mother, Loretta Ashe Graves; special friend/former spouse, Brenda Lea; 12 grandchildren; aunts, Nellie Blackwell, Helen Thomas, Rosetta Watkins, Angela Cunningham (Henry), Sheila Kirby and Barbara Lea; uncles, Robert Lea (Gloria), Tommy Lea (Sharon), Paul Lea (Shaunell) and Kevin Lea (Beverly); a host of relatives and friends.
