REIDSVILLE - Mr. Dennis Earl Brooks, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his residence.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 N. Scales Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 1:30 p.m. Elder Connell Clark, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery by horse drawn carriage.

All other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Percy Brooks, 403 Hill Street, Reidsville, NC.

Dennis Brooks was the son of the late Lottie Mae Brooks Bethel and Preston Clark, Sr.

He surrendered to a battle of cancer  on September 9, 2025 at the home of his loving brother.

Dennis attended the public schools and later worked at Draper Lumber Company in Eden, NC. He also was a mechanic and farmer. He had a passion for cutting grass. He enjoyed family gatherings and cared for all that he encountered. His smile would warm your heart and we will always cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Vernette Clark and Mary Clark; brother, George Edward Clark.

Survivors include sisters, Betty Jean Brooks, Ann Brooks, Doretha Hampton, Loretta Langston, Clara Mark, Margaret Stedwell, Florine Clark, Josephine Clark and Bridgette Neal Clark; brothers, Larry Darnell Clark, Clarence Edward Brooks, Percy Lee Brooks, Timothy Jerome Clark and Tracy Lamont Clark; step-siblings, Betsy Cobb, Mildred Thompson (Roy), Virginia Ferrell, Diane Strange, Connell Clark (Martha) and Preston Clark, Jr. (Marjorie); partner, Sabrina Thomas; 3 step-children, Shareka Thomas, Ashley Brown and Tiffany Thomas; 7 step-grandchildren; special aunt, Christine Neal; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
