REIDSVILLE - Mrs. Deleigh Thana Redd Martin, age 43, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Elder Donnie Johnson, eulogist.

All other times, the family will receive friends at Sherwood Glen Community Center, 2006 Oakbrook Ct, Reidsville NC on Thursday through Sunday from 2 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Deleigh Thana Redd Martin "Big Redd" as she was affectionately called was born in Rockingham County, NC on November 26, 1981, to Susan Maretta Hart Redd and the late Kenneth Redd.

She is married to Desmond "D" Martin.

Deleigh attended Reidsville Senior High School and was employed for many years in the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Her sense of humor was like no other, (hilarious). She took piano lessons as a child and was very good, but she eventually realized that the piano was not for her. She loved traveling to the beach, driving pickup trucks with the huge wheels, fishing, and most of all cooking, a passion she shared with her husband, "D".

Deleigh was also a loving parent to their miniature French bulldog, Malachi.

In addition to her husband and mother, Deleigh is survived by uncles, aunts, her best friend, Denise Drummond, many cousins and friends.

She will be dearly missed.
