GIBSONVILLE, NC - Deaconess Eloise C. Anderson, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A viewing will begin on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11 a.m. from the Brown's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 461 Browns Chapel Road, Gibsonville, NC.
Deaconess Eloise Cobb Anderson, daughter of the late Julius Earl Cobb and the late Ollie Mae Simpson Cobb was born October 10, 1948 following a period of illness.
She departed this life early Monday morning in Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.
As a young lady, she attended the Caswell County Schools and later graduated with the class of 1967 from Booker T. Washington High School in Reidsville, NC.
She was married to Edward Anderson and to this union a daughter Tonorra Anderson Giles and grandson, Ricky Jamal Anderson-Giles was born.
She was an integral part of the youth department at Brown's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
For many years she was employed with Burlington Industries before joining the family business (Edwards Appliance Service) where she served as secretary.
She enjoyed traveling with her families and visited many countries all over the world. She also loved eating out and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Earl Cobb, Jr.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband of 59 years, Edward Anderson of the home, daughter, Tonorra Anderson of Gibsonville, NC; grandson, Ricky Jamal Anderson-Giles of the home; one sister, Diane Chiles of Pelham, NC; one brother, Dennis Cobb (Jenny) of Reidsville, NC; special (sister) aunt, Jeraldine Williamson of Yanceyville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Veneda Jones of Elon, NC; Marion Gwynn (Charles) of Matteson, IL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
