He loved his church and was faithful in his duties, serving in many capacities including Deacon Emeritus, former lead deacon, member of the Sunday School Class #2, Male Chorus, Men of Valor, Thursday night Bible Study, Usher Board, and former chair of the Kitchen, Transportation and Homecoming Committees.  As a result of his love for crafts and woodworking, there are several items on display at Jerusalem UHC that he took great pride in making.
