David Langdon Porter's Obituary
David Langdon Porter passed on October 26, 2018.
Memorial services will be Monday, November 5, 2018 at McLaurin Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be one half prior to the service.
"Langdon" was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico. At the age of two, the family established residence in Rockingham County, North Carolina while his father completed his military career.
He was a graduate of Rockingham County Senior High School in the class of 1982. With courage and fortitude, he enlisted into the United States Air Force. While serving, he received a Certificate of Outstanding Performance. He also achieved the rank of Airman First Class prior to being honorably discharged. After military service, he worked for Miller and Ball Corporation for many years before retiring.
In addition to his parents, Langdon was preceded in death by his biological mother, Consuelo Blanco and a sister, Mary Ann Porter McBride.
He is survived by one daughter, Davida Daniele Porter (Jai Kelvine Maye); grandson, Aayden Maye; special friend, Luisa Capuano DeLuca; sisters, Grace Rascon, Roseanne Vera, Juanita Martinez, Layola Flores, Monica Blanco-Etheridge, Kathy Blanco, and Patsy Blanco; brother, Raymond Blanco; brother-in-law, Derek McBride; nieces, Derica and DeShonte' McBride; other relatives and friends.
