Darius Cayman Harrison (affectionately known as "Jackpot") departed this life on February 11, 2026, and ascended into his heavenly home. He was a devoted son, brother, a loyal friend, and a source of support to those he loved.

Darius was a graduate of Walter M. Williams High School, Class of 2018. While in high school he was a member of the football and lacrosse teams. His musical talents included percussion in the high school band and singing in the Burlington Boys Choir. He enjoyed music and could often be seen happily dancing or singing songs. He furthered his studies at Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where he played football and lacrosse. He worked as a distribution associate.

In his free time, Darius rooted for the Baltimore Ravens. He enjoyed playing sports, fantasy football, bowling, traveling to new places, anime, riding roller coasters, playing video games/board games, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a strong passion for gym and personal fitness, always striving to better himself physically and mentally.

Darius was charismatic in the truest sense and brought warmth and kindness into every room he entered. He carried a light that seemed to shine from deep within. His smile could calm a storm. His laughter filled rooms. His presence made others feel seen, valued, and understood. Strangers became friends, and friends became family. He was known for greeting everyone with a handshake—each one uniquely his own—creating special connections with the many different people whose lives he touched. Above all, he loved God. He was bold about his faith and openly shared it with the world. His walk with Christ shaped his character and strengthened him through life's challenges. He reminded us, often without even realizing it, what it meant to live life to the fullest. His life, though brief, was rich with meaning and we hold tight to the joy that he gave us. The light he poured into this world will continue to ripple through all of us who were blessed to know him. We find comfort knowing that his light has not been extinguished—it has simply gone before us. His impact will last forever.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother Marques and grandparents Shirdean Ellington, James Ellington, and Ronnie Harrison.

He is survived by his parents, Sheroya Gaither and Darrell Harrison; siblings, Dinaisya Harrison and Devin Harrison; grandparents, Alma Harrison and Steven Gaither; great grandmothers Elizabeth Warren and Elizabeth Stokes; aunts, Sharon Cummings and Rita Ellington; uncles, Ronnie Harrison (Mae), William Cummings (Donna), James Ellington Jr. (Leigh Anne), Carl Ellington; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins,
other relatives, and friends.
