Cynthia Ann Hedgeman of Eden, NC passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Morehead Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with visitation 12:30-1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Cynthia was born on August 16, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Elliot Davis Sr. and Gloria Steward Davis. She was the god-child of Ethel Jackson, James Lee, Isaiah Patterson Jr. and Doris Johnson. Cynthia was baptized and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church at an early age.

She attended the local schools and graduated from Leon Goduhaux High School. She furthered her education in the field of nursing.

For many years Cynthia resided in Dallas Texas before moving to Reidsville, NC. Her faith and love of God were manifested when she joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as a Communion Steward, member of the Methodist Women and a member of the Usher Board.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Eric Hedgeman (Toya) who resides in Martinsville, Virginia; three brothers, Leroy Davis (Ruth) of Reidsville, North Carolina, Stanley (Veronica) and Calvin Davis of Lutcher, Louisiana; three sisters, Lillie Mae Thomas of Edgard, Louisiana, Delores Anderson (Johnell) of Garyville, Louisiana and Carolyn Wesley of Austin Texas, two grandchildren, Timmaya and Jeremiah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elliot Davis Sr. and Gloria Davis; brothers, Elliot Davis Jr. Alvin, and Sterling Davis.
