Obituary

Mr. Clinton Keith Cummings passed on Monday, January 6, 2020.  Funeral will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel, 721 E. Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC with Rev. Dr. Cardes Brown serving as Eulogist.  Family visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be on Thursday from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Clinton Keith Cummings was born in Reidsville, North Carolina on April 23, 1956. On Monday, January 6, 2020, he transitioned from his earthly life after a brief illness.

Keith was educated in the Rockingham County School System, and was employed at several companies in the area including Spray Cotton Mills, Cone Mills and Olympic Products until they closed.  He then decided to attend Future Truckers of America and became employed at Estes Express Lines as a dock worker, where he worked for 16 years until his health declined.

Keith had a passion for cars and horses, and thoroughly enjoyed talking about cars with Anthony. He also loved spending time with his mother, daughter, and grandson. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.

Preceding him in death are his two brothers: Clinton Gravely, Jr. and Barron Cummings; grandparents: Mildred Gravely, William Gravely, Estelle Cummings and Emmitt Brown.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: mother – Alberta Cummings, of the home; father – Clinton E. Gravely (Etta) of Greensboro, NC; his only child – Darcia Dalton (Anthony), of Stoneville, NC; his only grandchild – Dajshon Murphy, of Stoneville, NC; sisters – Angela Harris (Kelvin) of Gastonia, NC, Thyrsa Gravely, of Atlanta, GA and Latasha Gravely Foushee (H. Marrel), of Chapel Hill, NC; aunts – Dr. Barbara Gravely and Jacqueline Waters, both of Greensboro, NC; special cousins – Gladys Price, and Gina Price Mills (Vernon), all of Reidsville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

McLaurin Funeral Home is serving the family.
