Obituary

GREENSBORO - On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, CLINTON "FIVE-0" BURGESS, departed this earthly life and entered his heavenly home to be with the Lord at Guilford Health Care Center in Greensboro, NC. He was born to the late Jessie Burgess and Annie Mae Harvey Burgess on June 22, 1953, in Halifax County, North Carolina.

Clinton received his education in the Halifax County Public School System and attended McIver High School in Littleton, North Carolina. He began his working career at the former JP Stevens and Company in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and later transitioned to the construction industry.

Clinton had a warm welcoming spirit and a willing heart to help others. He loved socializing with his family and friends, enjoyed motorcycles, and was a "die-hard fan" of the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by one brother, James Burgess; two sisters, Hazel Logan and Joyce Burgess; one niece, Stacy Hardy; and one nephew, Byrant Alston.

The lasting memory of his life and love will be forever shared by his son, Clinton Orlando Burgess (Tedisha) of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren: Olando, Jehmya, and Josiah Burgess all of Greensboro, NC; one great-granddaughter, Ava Williams-Leach of Greensboro, NC; his special devoted friend, Jennifer Caeser of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three sisters: Pearlene Fobbs and Vanessa Minggia of Newport News, VA, and Marie Griffin (Jeff) of Hampton, VA; four brothers: Mack Burgess (Karen) of Newport News, VA, Lee Burgess (Queen) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Donnell Burgess (Darlene) and Thomas Burgess (Sue Mae) all of Littleton, NC; one brother-in-law, Scott Logan of Hampton, VA; two uncles, JC Harvey and Mac Harvey of Littleton, NC; two aunts, Josephine Lewis (Phillip) of Hampton, VA, and Christine Davis of Littleton, NC; twenty nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends, including his loyal friend and dedicated neighbor, Jessie Lee Burnette.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service time at Robinson Funeral Home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC. Rev. John Evans will deliver the eulogy.
