Clarence Douglas, born July 18, 1939, departed his earthly life at his home on February 1, 2018. Clarence was known for his beautiful singing voice and his wide smile. Clarence lived his life his way. He was committed to completing his education and receiving his high school diploma. Clarence graduated with the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1959.

Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Charles Douglas, and his mother, Sarah Broadnax Douglas Staples. He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Staples, Sarah Hairston, brother George Staples and devoted cousins who cared deeply for him.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 5, at Greenview Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
