REIDSVILLE, NC - Ms. Chiquila R. Hairston, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 from the Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, 9892 NC-700, Pelham, NC. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service 1 p.m. Pastor Hamid Kamara, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in the Bluestone Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, NC.

Chiquila Roszena Hairston was born on May 3, 1991 in Martinsville, VA to Angela and Samuel Cobbs.

Chiquila was a 2009 graduate of Reidsville Senior High School. Chiquila accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at Morrisette Paper in Browns Summit, where she was a packer.

Chiquila adored kids and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. In her spare-time, she loved reading the bible, watching the Parkers, riding four wheelers and cleaning her car.

Chiquila was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, great grandmother, four aunts and seven uncles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: parents, Samuel and Angela Cobbs; sisters, Tilena Hairston and Starr Cobbs; nieces, Amiya Thompson, Chloe Brim and Skylar Herbin; nephews, Tristin Herbin and Rodney Scales, Jr.; uncles, Henry Hairston, Eddie Mebane (Penda), Jamie Hampton (Felicia), Ken Hampton (Cristy), Minister John Hairston (Tammie) and Bud Hairston; aunts, Jocelyn Meadors (Darnell), Valeria Hairston, Minnie Reynolds and Yolanda Reynolds; special cousins, Jada Mebane, Jade Mebane, Ava Mebane, Makil Carter, David Fountain, Shenika Brooks, Shemeka McBee, Dorrell Thomas, Latoya Thomas, Keshia Cobbs and Keshawnn Hampton; special friends, Rashawnn Irving, Paris Brown, Ashley McClurkin, Maranda Carter, Marsha Rucker, Sharon Rucker, Jason Luke, Jazz Totten, Ryan Broadnax, Tammie Hairston, Teresa Allen and many more.
