Chinester was born on November 8, 1937 to the late Lee Roy Casey and Martha Casey in Cascade, VA. She was dedicated and committed to God, her family, and her church. She was a faithful member of Galilee Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served on the Senior Choir, and the Genesis of Deliverance Gospel Group.

Devoted to her family, she often shared pearls of wisdom with them. One thing about her, she loved telling jokes and sharing laughs. She was always trying to give you something, whether you wanted it or not. In her leisure, she loved to shop, go out to eat, watch her favorite game shows - Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, talking to family and friends, and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Her greatest accomplishment was to be the best mother to her son and teach him to live by her mantra "what I say, not what I do". On top of it all, she loved her Carolina Panthers.
In addition to her father and mother, Chinester is preceded in death by her sister, Annie Casey; and brother, Elroy Casey.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: her son, Elvis Lee Casey (Joyce of Greensboro, NC; sister, Edith Mims of Reidsville, NC; three grandchildren, Devin Casey, Loren "Kitty" Casey and Stacy Richmond (Bobby); ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Jawanza Mims of Reidsville, NC; special friend, Buddy Winchester of Reidsville, NC; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
