Obituary

REIDSVILLE - Mrs. Charlotte Pinnix Harrison, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Eden Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

Public viewing will begin Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family will be present from 12 to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 1 p.m. from the Elm Grove Baptist Church, 1302 US-29 Business, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m. Pastor C. Bradley Hunt, II will officiate and Pastor Gregory L. Hopkins, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in the Elm Grove Church Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

Charlotte was born on January 22, 1934 to the late James Monroe Pinnix and Nettiebell Neal Pinnix.

Charlotte was a native of Caswell County and a resident of Reidsville, NC. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and later married her high school sweetheart, the late Bennie Arthur Harrison. He so lovingly called her "Toots".

She was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Elm Grove Baptist Church.

Charlotte was a people person and never met a stranger. She didn't mind giving her family her personal opinion anon any situation. She loved the Lord, working in her flower garden, singing, dancing, traveling, shopping and drawing. She also enjoyed working her word search puzzles and reading her Bible, but most of all she loved her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Garland Harrison; siblings, Sylvester Pinnix, Margaret Cotton, Lillie Pinnix, Connie Blackwell and Virtene Johnson.

Survivors include children, Charie Sharpe, Clayvon Harrison and Tammie Hopkins (Rev. Gregory Hopkins); brother, Roy Pinnix; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Harrison; 10 grandchildren, Tia Sharpe, RaShannon Fountain, RaShonna Graves, Lakesha Harrison, Erica Wheless, Teon Harrison, Tyeson Harrison, Gwan Harrison, Ashleigh Harrison and Clumon Totten; 27 great-grandchildren; very special family friends, Sharen Larry, Wanda Enoch and Delores Dupree; a host of relatives and friends.
