RUFFIN - Mr. Charlie James Lawary, age 92, peacefully made his transition into life everlasting on July 10, 2024 at Eden Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. Pastor, Gregory L. Hopkins will deliver the words of comfort. The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Interment will follow on Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

Charlie was born on September 3, 1931 in Reidsville, NC to the late Celister and Clayton B. Lawary.

He was married to the late Lula Lawary.

Charlie leaves behind five daughters: Peggy Thomas (Charles), Betty Pickard (Larry), Lois Weatherford, Loretta Mckeever (Charles) and Pandora Ogburn; three sisters, Barbara Gregory, Gaynell Petty and Bertha Slade; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
