Mr. Charles Steven Herbin transitioned on Friday morning, March 12, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel with family visitation one half hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at McLaurin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Charles Steven Herbin was born on April 23, 1948 in Rockingham County, North Carolina to the late William and Chestina Herbin. He transitioned to his eternal resting place on March 12, 2021.

Charles, affectionately known as "Butch", loved his family. He was educated in the Guilford County Public School System and was a member of High Rock Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

In his spare time, he loved dancing, hunting and farming.  Charles had a love for cars, which lead him to working at Crown Body Shop in Greensboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Spencer Herbin; sisters, Annie Mae Herbin and Bernice Herbin; brother, Jerry Herbin; and grandson, Antonio Harden.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children; two sisters, Juanita Herbin of Browns Summit, NC and Pamela Herbin of Reidsville, NC; two brothers, William Herbin, Jr. (Carol), of Browns Summit, and Willie Herbin of Reidsville, NC; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ashton and Yolanda McLaurin and the McLaurin Funeral Home staff at 721 East Morehead Street in Reidsville, NC is serving the family.
