Carol Denise Graves was born on April 15, 1963 in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Madie Lorene Graves and John Wesley Blackwell.
Carol had a giving and humble spirit and was a joy to be around with her laughter, smile and dancing. She attended Reidsville Senior High School and later became employed as a housekeeper due to her disability.

Carol leaves to cherish precious memories: a special nephew, Billy Eugene Graves (Timecia Melvin) of Reidsville, NC; aunts, Melissa (Larry) Galloway and Roberta Nunley, all of Reidsville, NC; uncles, Donnell Graves of Reidsville, NC, Jeffery Graves and Samuel Graves, both of Winston Salem, NC; half- brothers, Walter Robinson of Asheville, NC, Wesley (Marlena) Blackwell, of Charlotte, NC, and Christopher (Teresa) Blackwell, of Reidsville, NC; half-sister, Sharon Hampton, of Greensboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
