Mrs. Betty Jean Blackwell, 80, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital after a brief stay.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Reidsville, N.C. with a visitation 12:30-1:00 P.M. prior to the service and burial to follow in the Elm Grove Church Cemetery.

"Betty Jean" as she was affectionately called never met a stranger. She loved people and loved to talk. Everyone was "Hi Honey". Betty was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and retired from Chase Bag after thirty years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank & Beatrice Patrick Moore, Husband; Azzie Blackwell and brother; Willie Moore.

Betty leaves to cherish beautiful memories, three sons; Charles Blackwell (Michelle), Reidsville, NC, Gregory Blackwell (Doris), Reginald Blackwell, both of Greensboro, NC, grandchildren; Sonja Blackwell, Dontae Blackwell, Charles Jr. Blackwell, Anitra Bell, Joy Jones, Sidney Hairston, Johnny, Michael, Stacey and Jomia Wilson, eighteen great grand children; 3 great great grandchildren,, one sister-in-law; Willie Mae Moore, a host of nieces and nephews, special friends; Rebecca Pinnix and Carrie McNeill.
The family will gather at the home of Charles Blackwell, 109 Madison St., Reidsville, NC.
