Mr. Bernard Nunley quietly and peacefully departed this life to his eternal home on Saturday, February 4, 2017.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 11, 2017 at McLaurin Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Reidsville, with a visitation at 11:30 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. prior to the service and burial to follow in Eden Garden Cemetery, Eden, NC.

Bernard affectionately known by some of his family as "Nard" or "Uncle Nard" was born on October 18, 1949 to the late Geneva B. Troxler and the late Wesley C. Nunley. Also preceding him in death was his brother; John L. Nunley.

Bernard was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Reidsville, NC. He was on the football team as well as played other sports. On December 16, 1975 he married Annie Frances Moyer and that union lasted forty one wonderful years.

Bernard's first job was at Cones Mills, Edna Plant, Reidsville, NC, he was also a foreman at Reidsville Building & Supply, J.P. Stevens, Greensboro, NC, IEM Plastics & Elixer, Reidsville, NC. He was working with a Janitorial crew at Karastan, Eden, NC when his health started to decline.

Bernard loved professional football and baseball. His favorite team was the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed watching westerns, playing cards and mowing the lawn; but most of all, he loved his family. He enjoyed kidding and funning with all his nieces and nephews, often reminding them "I am your Uncle."

Bernard leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife; Annie Frances Nunley, of the home, Son; Kenric Fionn Williamson (Roynetta), Greensboro, NC, three grandsons; Stefone T. Graves, Kristgen and Jordon Williamson, three great grandsons; Cameron, Cory and Carter Graves, god-granddaughter and niece; Latoya Lynette Griffin, sisters; Robin A. Pickard, Reidsville, NC, Nicole T Brown (Eric), Reidsville, NC, Doris Nixon, Williamston, NC, brothers; Kenny Ashe, Eden, NC, Ervin Troxler, Reidsville, NC, Aunt; Susie M. Robinson, Eden, NC, sisters-in-law;

Vinnie Nellie Pinnix, West Va., Sallie K. Moyer, Eden, NC, Maggie M. Griffin, Eden, NC, brothers-in-law; George C. Moyer, Eden, NC, Robert L. Moyer, Eden, NC, Tommy Hairston, Cascade, Va, also a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
