Annie Mae was born July 28, 1930 in Rockingham County to the late Julius Oliver and Doesha Lee.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at McLaurin Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with a visitation, 11:30 am prior to the service and burial to take place in Greenview Cemetery.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Edward Hairston and a daughter Shirley Johnson.
She was a self-employed Snack Bar owner, "Mae's Snack Bar". She was a member of Open Door Fellowship, where she was on the Mother's board. She loved cooking for others. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her favorite song was, I Come to the Garden Alone. Annie Mae was loved by many and shall be dearly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter; Minister Mary Gwynn (Ed), son; Thomas Johnson Jr. (Marion), stepchildren; Bernice Jackson from Reidsville, NC, Levant Hairston (Nannie) from Pelham, NC, Arnettie Hairston, Mabone Jackson, from Eden, NC, Betty Adams (Phillip), from Danville, Va., Donald Hairston and Kern Hairston from Raleigh, NC, one sister Lula Jenkins from Reidsville, NC., grandchildren: Julius Johnson (Tammy), Articia Johnson, Wanda Lane (Arbon), Sean Johnson (Angela), Michelle Cauthen (Anthony), Cleo Johnson (Tina), Sherry Broadnax, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 1 niece Zaneta Jones (Steven), 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
