Anna, the daughter of the late Turner and Nokomis Harris, was born on October 25, 1936 in Reidsville, North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her brother Laurence Edward Harrison.  She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1953, and graduated from Johnson C. Smith University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree.  Anna later received a Cytotechnologist degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

In addition to her parents and her brother, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Price (they were married for 7 years) and her son, James Nevin Adams.

At an early age, Anna joined First Christian Church in Reidsville, NC where she served faithfully for many years as a Sunday school teacher and in other auxiliaries.  Later in life, she became a member of Garrett Grove United Methodist Church in Gibsonville, North Carolina.

Anna was an avid historian, and enjoyed reading, traveling and discussing politics and current events.  Other past times included music, dancing and the theater.  She also served as a substitute teacher for the Rockingham County School System and a literacy teacher in the community after retirement.  Understanding the importance of volunteering and giving back to your community, Anna adopted a "little sister" each year through the Big Brother/Big Sister Program of Rockingham County.  And, at times, she just loved a good belly laugh.
