REIDSVILLE - Ms. Anita Yvonne Wilkerson, age 63, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 upon arrival to Annie Penn Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 12 until 6 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. from the Grooms Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2166 Grooms Road, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 2 p.m. Reverend Tommy Williamson will preside and Pastor Marland Wiggins, eulogist.

All other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 1018 Walnut Street, Reidsville, NC.

Anita was born in Rockingham County, NC on June 30, 1962 to Marjorie Wilkerson and the late Elbert Lorenzo Wilkerson.

She was educated in the public schools and graduated from Reidsville Senior High School class of 1980.

For many years she was a group home manager with Rouses Group Homes.

She was a member of Grooms Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and formerly served in the kitchen committee.

Survivors include son, Alex Wilkerson (Fiance' Summer Lawrence); daughter, Antania Wilkerson; mother, Marjorie Wilkerson; brother, Andre Wilkerson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
