Aaron Harrison Sr. was born on December 23, 1946, to the late Elijah and Susie Lawson Harrison. At an early age, Aaron knew the importance of having a strong relationship with God and joined the Elm Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC. He enjoyed the Senior Sunday School Class and singing in the Male chorus. He was a 1965 graduate of Booker T. Aaron was a Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army for six years. After a 40-year career, he retired from the US Postal Service. Upon the death of his son (Don) he was a founding member of "The Last Dons", a non-profit organization that is known throughout the community for second chances and riding for a reason.
In his spare time, he enjoyed taking road trips with the love of his life, fishing, watching the Carolina Panthers, listening to all types of music, teaching himself how to play the guitar, going to Charlotte with his son for the Coca Cola 600 Charlotte Speedway, and riding motorcycles.
He was happily married to his best friend, Peggy Harrison for 54 years and through this union God blessed them with two sons. Aaron was a strong family man, with compassion and caring for others at the center of his heart. He was affectionately known as "the cool Uncle A" and "Dude all around."
