REIDSVILLE - Mr. Aaron Larnell Baize, Sr., age 98, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at Gibson House Hospice in Reidsville, NC.
Public viewing will begin on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. from the Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, 9892 NC-700, Pelham, NC. The family visitation will take place at 2 p.m. Pastor Hamid Kamara will preside and Reverend John B. Doe, eulogist.
The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
All other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Janice Baize King and spouse Ernest Bernard, 1202 Harrison Crossroad Loop, Reidsville, NC.
Larnell was born in Ruffin, NC on January 10, 1927 to William Laten and Emma Leftwich Baize.
He was educated in the Rockingham County School System and graduated from the former Washington High School class of 1945.
Larnell was a faithful member of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church where he was a charter member of the first choir established in 1944.
For many years he worked at Lorillard Tobacco Company in Greensboro, NC where he retired. He later worked at Value City Department Store in Danville, VA where he was a top salesman in the men's department.
He was a member of the YMCA of Eden, Reidsville and Greensboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Stamps Baize; daughter, Linda Baize Richardson; son, Aaron Larnell Baize, Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Baize King (Ernest Bernard), Delcine Baize and Edith Stamps Chance; grandchildren, Dennis Richardson III (Nicole), Angela King Valaka (Alain), Jennifer King, Terrence Baize, Whitney Baize, David Cardwell (Alexis), Adrian Woods (Michelle) and Shaun Woods; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Lyric, Brenton Ava, Ayden Zahyire, Destiny, Kaidyn and Sanarah; a host of relatives and friends.
